Oculus is a hybrid body composed of metal, artificial transparent skins, and integrated micro-screens.
The sculpture, made of metal, plastics, and cables, balances between human, body, and machine. Developed for an exhibition on sculpture, technology, and the use of screens, Oculus emerges from research into how our desire — our inner desire mechanisms — is increasingly automated, triggered, and manipulated within a techno-capitalist system.
