INFO – len Creutzburg

Len Creutzburg is fascinated by how we are shaped by our surroundings, upbringing, and intergenerational transmissions. Their works examine the ways in which these systems influence both body and identity. They form sketches of an inner–outer ecology in which identity is continuously re-examined and rewritten.

Creutzburg works primarily with sculptures and sculptural installations, which they sometimes activate by interweaving performative elements. They view the sculptures as hybrid deconstructions of body and environment. The works form a growing network that attaches itself to exterior structures, allowing them to subtly merge with their surroundings. The sculptures appear sketch-like and layered, revealing skin-like textures and threadlike connections. Integrated hydraulic systems circulate fluids through the works, creating internal movements. Through these movements, Creutzburg’s work reminds us that we are not static beings, but that both the individual and collective body are in a constant state of fluidity

Bio

Len Creutzburg (b. 1994, Breda, NL) (he/they) is a third-generation Indo-Dutch mixed-media artist based in Eindhoven (NL), working from their studio at T56. In 2023, Creutzburg obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki (FI). Over the years, they have co-initiated multiple artistic projects and residencies, including the Vrouw Muskens Residency, the duo exhibition UIT ZICHT – the artist as tourist, and the international exhibition exchange program The Day it Rains Jellyfish, in which they also took on a co-curatorial role.

Their work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including PARK (NL), SEA Foundation (NL), Museum of Young Art (NL), the Albert van Abbehuis (NL), Augusta Gallery (FI), Seinä Gallery (FI), Vent Space (EE), the Limburg Biënnale 2024 (NL), and during the Pragovka residency (CZ). In 2024, Creutzburg was selected for the SÍM Residency in Reykjavík (IS), and since April 2025 they have been part of the 1.5-year development program Jump! Talent Hub.
